Legal Self Defense Weapon

One of the biggest problems for someone who is seeking to defend him or herself is that many of the weapons developed for self defense are just as effective as offensive weapons and, therefore, a person who is seeking to purchase them can be in unclear legal waters. This article is intended to assist a potential purchaser is choosing a self defense weapon and understanding the legal ramifications that that weapon may carry.

The first category of weapons that people always think about when they consider self defense is the category of lethal weapons, such as handguns or something even larger. In every state there is at least some availability for the general public to purchase these weapons, but these laws can sometimes be complicated or hard to follow. For example, some states forbid concealed carry entirely, while others give a license to almost anyone who requests one. For someone who wishes to defend him or herself and at the same time, do so legally, navigating the complex waters of gun licensing can be very dangerous. In most cases it is far easier to stay legal using nonlethal weapons or martial arts training to defend oneself.

A much safer category of legal self defense weapons is nonlethal weapons, such as pepper spray or stun guns. Regulations on these weapons will vary from state to state, and therefore we will not discussed individual legality here. But there is at least some availability of these weapons in every state and laws are always more lenient than those for lethal weapons. The most popular of these legal self defense weapons is the spray: mace, tear gas, and pepper spray.

All of these sprays are incapacitating, but the most effective is pepper spray. This is because the active ingredient in pepper spray, capsaicin, bypasses the pain receptors in the brain. Regardless of if a possible assailant is drunk, high, or otherwise impaired, pepper spray will still be able to disable him or her. It is also a naturally-occurring agent and is unlikely to cause permanent damage. Mace and tear gas, on the other hand, are both man-made chemical agents that can cause great harm and sometimes permanent damage to a person. However, one must always be careful about when he or she uses these weapons, despite them being non-lethal and legal. They still are weapons and a person can get into a huge amount of trouble for using them on the wrong person.

Another non-lethal option is the stun gun. Laws for stun guns are less permissible than those for sprays, but they remain legal self defense weapons in 45 of the fifty states. Stun guns are a better self defense weapon than sprays for many people because someone can hit their attacker anywhere on his or her body and disable him or her. They also are effective even against people who may be impaired and are more visible, which can dissuade an attacker before he or she even considers an attack. However, one must get very close to an attacker to use a stun gun, which can be difficult for many people. They also retain the disadvantage of being potentially deadly against an attacker with heart problems. For a nervous person, stun guns are better as a supplemental self-defense weapon than a primary one.

Finally, for the person looking to defend him or herself and be utterly certain that he or she is obeying all relevant laws, martial arts training is the best way to go. It is impossible to outlaw martial arts training, and it has a large number of benefits for defending oneself. Beyond the obvious of merely allowing one to have an always-available weapon, staying fit is itself a very effective legal self defense “weapon.” In many cases, the best defense against an assault is to simply run away, and people who are in good shape are far more likely to be able to escape from a more-powerful or better-equipped assailant. Similar benefits can be had from training with and carrying a baton or small blade.

Of the above weapons, the most effective is the stun gun while the most legal but least effective is martial arts training. Choosing a legal self defense weapon can be very difficult due to the inverse correlation between the effectiveness and the legality of these weapons. Therefore, it is very important for a person to do research, find out what is legal in one’s area, and analyze one’s own strengths and weaknesses before choosing a weapon. And, of course, remember that staying fit may be the best form of legal self defense of all.

Spy Gadgets

Notable Spy Gadgets Throughout History and How They Were Foiled

Spy gadgets have been used to turn the tide of war throughout all of human history. Perhaps one of the most famous examples of a clandestine machine was the Enigma device during the Second World War. A number of electro-mechanical units that worked across a rotor cipher principle were built by German industries, and termed Enigma machines. Arthur Scherbius invented the device at the end of the First World War, and commercial, government and military agencies in several nations used them during the interwar period. The models used by the Wehrmacht during WWII, however, were remarkably advanced.

The Steckerbrett, or plug board, was one of the reasons that it was so effective. While an Enigma without a plug board isn’t particularly effective, when it is installed it allowed operators to reconnect the wiring easily. This meant that codes could change on a whim. Hand methods of breaking coded messages were usually foiled by the addition of a plug board.

This meant that Allied cryptanalysts ended up having to work with special machines to break codes. Eventually, Allied code breakers collected a great deal of intelligence about Enigma devices. This information was codenamed Ultra by British forces, and many historians claim that it shortened the European war by two years. However, Enigma wasn’t the only code machine used during the war.

Unlike Enigma, the Japanese developed a machine that was built around electrical stepping switches instead of rotors. While the Japanese machine was codenamed Purple by the United States, the correct name was 97-shiki obun inji-ki or Angoki Taipu-B. These terms translate to “System 97 Printing Machine for European Characters” and “Type B Cipher Machine”. Interestingly enough, the Imperial Japanese Army and Navy had appeared to be working in completely separate camps when it came to cryptography. Shortly before the end of the conflict, the Army had warned naval forces of a weak point in the device. The Navy previously had accepted the advice of a mathematician named Takagi Teiji that the machine was a sufficient way of encoding messages.

Takagi was a famous and trusted mathematician who had previously proved the Takagi existence theorem. However, his advice seemed to prove incorrect. Intelligence collected by the United States government on the Purple device was codenamed Magic.

An even earlier spy gadget was the Kryha device, which was developed by Alexander von Kryha. Naturally, the machine bore his name. While there were several different versions, the standard version weighed about five kilos and was completely mechanical. The electronic version of the device was bulkier, but there was a version small enough to carry in a pocket that was termed the Lilliput. It saw use into the 1950s, despite the fact that the security code that the device use was actually rather weak. A cryptanalyst from the United States named William Friedman was given a challenge message that was 1,135 characters long. Friedman, along with Solomon Kullback, Abraham Sinkov and Frank Rowlett are said to have defeated the device’s code in 2 hours and 41 minutes.

The Kiss of Death is an interesting weapon, and it is a very appropriately named spy gadget. The image of a femme fatale agent working for the KGB is a spy movie fixture, and the Kiss of Death lipstick pistol is one of the ideal spy gadgets to work for this sort of a character. Indeed, it suggests that real agents like that must have existed. A single shot 4.5 mm pistol was actually hidden inside of a lipstick container. A unit was found at an American checkpoint in West Berlin. Today it’s held in Washington DC at the International Spy Museum.

Spy gadgets aren’t a modern invention, though. During the First World War, a pigeon was used to take photographs of battlefields. This sort of thing seems primitive in the modern world, but at the time it surely provided vital intelligence. Perhaps one of the earliest spy gadgets actually dates back to Ancient Greece.

The skytale, which rhymes somewhat with Italy, is a sort of baton that is used as a transposition cipher. The first agent would have wrapped a piece of parchment around the rod and written a message. The recipient used a rod of the same diameter to read back the message. While the code can easily be broken, it is not easy to make a mistake when encoding or decoding the message. Moreover, it doesn’t take long to use the skytale. This made it perfect for spies on ancient battlefields who may have been under serious pressure.

Spy Tools

Numbers Stations: Not all Spy Tools are Neat Gadgets

Anyone who is familiar with the hobby of short wave listening knows that spy tools don’t have to come in the form of pocket gadgets. Numbers stations are technically usually from an unknown origin, but a large number of people assume that they are used as spy tools. For those who aren’t familiar, short wave radio refers to broadcasts and services that take place from approximately the end of the medium wave AM broadcast band to the beginning of the VHF region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Signals at these frequencies can travel all over the world, which makes them perfect spy tools, though there are countless legitimate users of the spectrum.

Instead of transmitting an international broadcast or time and date information, numbers stations usually use artificially generated voices to read streams of numbers. Sometimes words, letters, music and even the international Morse code gets mixed into their information streams. They don’t identify in the same way that regular stations do, and there hasn’t been an official public acknowledgement by any government that they operate a numbers station.

There are a few court cases involving Cuban numbers stations and espionage that suggest that these stations are indeed spy tools that send coded messages to agents. It is quite possible that spies who work in a field could use a one-time pad to decrypt the messages. This would mean that they listen for a message, decode it, and that particular method of encrypting the message is never used again. This system can be extremely difficult to crack.

Many of the stations throughout history have followed a similar format, with plenty of variations. The broadcast usually begins with some sort of an identifier, and hobbyists often give these stations nicknames based on the identifier signals. There might be characteristic phrases, a bit of music or electronic sounds, or some sort of code. There is then generally a mention of how many number groups will be in the message, and then the numbers are usually read off by an artificial voice. There is usually some sort of ending symbol as well, such as a phrase or another bit of music.

Some numbers stations have enjoyed a great deal of popularity among hobbyists and armchair detectives. This is perhaps interesting, considering that spy tools should probably be kept underground. Nevertheless, the public is fascinated with the secret world of espionage, and anyone can buy a short wave receiver in many countries. Indeed, a simple short wave receiver is probably the tool that agents in the field use since it isn’t suspicious by itself, nor is it expensive.

The Lincolnshire Poacher was a famous station that identified itself with a bit from a British folk tune entitled the Lincolnshire Poacher. The station used an artificial woman’s voice with an English accent to read off groups of five numbers. The station was apparently located on the island of Cyprus, where there is a Royal Air Force presence. Many armchair detectives assume the station was operated by MI6. Naturally, many numbers stations went off the air after the Cold War. However, the Lincolnshire Poacher stuck around for some time after. In July 2008, it suddenly seemed to go off the air. Interestingly enough, that isn’t the end of the story.

There was another powerful numbers station that was thought to be sending information to British agents, and it seemed to be connected to the Lincolnshire Poacher. Cherry Ripe is another English folk song, and a station that seems to have been broadcast from Australia used it as an interval signal. Naturally, this became a namesake for the station. The format and the synthesized English voice were identical, despite the different choice of folk tune. Cherry Ripe finally ceased transmissions in December 2009.

One of the more peculiar chapters in the story of this class of spy tools involves a station that was nicknamed Yosemite Sam. In December 2004, short wave listeners started to hear a burst of digital data code before the voice of the cartoon character Yosemite Sam came on. The clip of his voice seems to have been lifted from a 1949 cartoon. The transmission begins on one frequency, and then jumps to a higher one every ten seconds. Reception reports of the station seem to suggest that it comes from a transmitter site somewhere in New Mexico. This is perhaps interesting when one considers that Bugs Bunny often complained about Albuquerque. It is truly a strange and almost mischievous example of the underground information war. Naturally, the official purpose of the station has never surfaced.

Personal Defense Products

Crime can happen anywhere. Robbery, burglary and sexual assault are happening at an increasingly alarming rate. You need to make sure that you have the personal defense tools to protect yourself and have peace of mind. There is no way to tell when an attacker is going to strike, but you can at least be prepared and that is the first step in personal safety. It doesn’t matter what type of personal protection product you purchase, but make sure it is something that you feel comfortable with and you know how to use it. Some of the options available to you to choose from are pepper spray, tasers, pepper mace, stun guns, personal alarms, and many more.

Pepper Spray

Pepper spray has been at the top of the line for personal protection products for years. It generally will outsell all of the other products combined and here’s why. Pepper spray has been proven to work instantly against any animals or humans when it is used properly. The active resin will go to work immediately causing a severe inflammation of your attacker’s membranes. The eyes will become swelled shut and breathing will become labored because of the inflammation in the respiratory track.

Your attacker will have temporary blindness because the capillaries in the eyes will swell, so even if your attacker is able to other their eyes they are not going to be able to see anything. They will begin to cough, choke and wheeze. Their eyes, nose and mouth will have a discharge coming from it. Even though it is a non-lethal product, the effects will last for around 30 minutes, so you will have enough time to get away. It has also been proven effective on people who are under the influence of a controlled substance, such as drugs, alcohol, or a psychotic episode.

Pepper Mace

Pepper Mace contains a tear gas as the primary pain agent, along with a debilitating inflammatory agent. When sprayed it is going to cause a temporary blindness due to the swelling of the capillaries in your attacker’s eyes. They will have a hard time breathing because the respiratory track is going to become inflamed. There is also going to be a discharge from the membranes and uncontrollable choking. It also contains a marking dye in it, so that way police will be able to apprehend your attacker because they are easily identifiable.

Stun Guns

Stun guns use an electrical current to stop an attacker in their tracks with the high voltage. If you simply touch a person with the prongs of the device, they will become immobilized. They will not cause any serious or permanent injuries, but it will give you the time that you need to be able to get away from an attacker. They are deigned to hone in on your attackers central nervous system. The muscles will end up working extremely rapidly because of the high pulse frequency that will be pumped into the muscles from the stun gun. Your attacker’s blood sugar will turn into lactic acid in just a matter of seconds thanks to the rapid work cycle. It will become difficult for them to function and move because of the energy loss. They will become disoriented and have a loss of balance, which will leave your attacker in a state of confusion for several minutes. There is no significant effects on their heart and other organs, but you will be able to get away from the scene and into safety.

Personal Alarms

There are numerous benefits to you when carrying a personal alarm. The whole point is to be able to make noise and draw attention to yourself, so you can get the attention you need in case of an emergency. They are small, portable devices that are wireless, so you can carry them with you wherever you go. Personal alarms are easy to conceal, so you will never have to worry about the element of surprise.

The majority of personal safety alarms run on batteries, but some can operate on compressed air. They both have a high decibel sound, which is what you need to deter crime away from where you are at. Personal alarms are a necessity for anyone who walks, jogs or rides a bike because you never know when crime is going to strike.

The difference between life and death lies in your own hands, but with one of the non-lethal self defense products you won’t have to worry about that any more. It has been shown that 1 out of every 4 people in the United States is going to become the victim of a crime. You may already know someone who has been the victim, but now you can have the confidence you need knowing that you are going to have the highest quality personal defense products on the market.

Spy Equipment

Cipher Machines: A Very Real History of Spy Equipment

People might think that rotor machine technology is a relic of the Enigma device, but the HX-63 proved that even later spy equipment had a use for rotors. The Swiss firm Crypto AG was behind the design of the machine, and it was first developed in 1952. Nine rotors were installed in the device, and each rotor had 41 individual contacts. A set of 26 input and output modules connected to the keyboard allowed 15 wires to interface with the rotors via a loop-back connection. Each individual rotor wire could be moved from one of two paths. Rotor movements was entirely irregular, and controlled by switches. Moreover, two plug boards were installed on the device. One was set up to interface with the loop-back module while the other scrambled the input. Nevertheless, there were only ever twelve HX-63 units constructed, and these went to a single agency in the French government.

There is actually still occasionally some development in the field of rotor machine cryptology. A Dutch individual by the name of Tatjana J. van Vark assembled a device in 2002 that was based on the Enigma. However, it used 40-point rotors that had 509 parts each. The TSEC/KL-7, in the world of professional cipher spy equipment, was used as late as 1983 in Canada. It was also occasionally referred to as the ADONIS or POLLUX device, which were code names for the machine.

This particular piece of spy equipment was notable for a strange incident in 1967. John Anthony Walker was once a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Navy. He walked into the USSR’s embassy in Washington DC, carrying a key list for a version of the machine. Having requested employment as a spy, he eventually issued a guilty plea to charges in a plea arrangement in 1985.

Interestingly enough, the NATO KL-7 device wasn’t necessarily unique. There was a piece of British spy equipment called the BID/60 Singlet, which apparently used 10 rotors. The British adopted it sometime around 1949, and it bares some resemblance to the abovementioned KL-7 design. BID stands for British Interdepartmental, and the BID/60 shares that name with the BID 150. However, the BID 150 is a far different piece of spy equipment.

Instead of relying on individual ciphers, it was a voice encryption system. It was generally used with the Larkspur tactical radio system. Since the US Army had been experimenting with VHF radio communications during the Second World War, the Larkspur system moved forward battle area short-range radio communications from HF AM transmissions to VHF FM. Whenever VHF wasn’t practical, narrow band phase modulation over HF was apparently employed.

The BID 150 was a single channel device, and essentially digitized speech and encrypted it with a digital key. Naturally, a system like this needed very good radio performance, and good radio performance to maintain a digital connection does not come cheap. Vehicles that used the system had to be issued an elevated antenna on a 27-foot mast. A so-called Goodman Box was used to examine signal strength.

While Enigma and the rotor machines might be the most famous devices of the Second World War, the Germans had another piece of spy equipment that was quite amazing. The Schlüsselfernschreibmaschine, Geheimfernschreiber or Siemens and Halske T52 was a type of teleprinter machine that worked from an online point of view. Naval and Luftwaffe units employed the machine, since they could support the heavy device and all the trimmings that came with it.

When Germany occupied Norway and Denmark, they started to use a teleprinter circuit through Sweden to facilitate communications. However, the Swedes quickly tapped the line and Arne Beurling cracked the earliest versions of the machine without much trouble in May 1940. Once the key settings could be found through breaking the code by hand, a similar device manufactured by Ericsson could read incoming messages. While Sweden intercepted around 500,000 messages, the Germans eventually became very much aware of the situation. While Swedish authorities cracked the T52′s advanced models in 1942, the newer upgrades that came in 1943 promised complete security.

Sweden wasn’t the only nation that was hacking German codes, however. The United Kingdom obviously had a keen interest in German spy equipment, and British intelligence codenamed the link between Sicily and Libya Sturgeon. Likewise, forces in the Aegean communicated with those in Sicily over a line codenamed Mackerel. However, the British did not break into Sturgeon as much as they had broken into Tunny or Enigma. On one hand, this was because the Luftwaffe often retransmitted Sturgeon messages using older codes that were easier to break, and thus direct attacks weren’t economical. The other reason, though, had to do with the fact that the T52 used an extremely complicated cipher for its time.

Counter Surveillance Equipment

Counter surveillance equipment gives you an excellent array of ways to make sure you are not being monitored or videotaped without your knowledge. There are plenty of different options to protect your personal safety, such as a Mini-Bug Detector where you can locate any hidden devices within a matter of minutes and quickly eliminate them. You could use a spy camera finder to help detect any Wireless Devices or Infrared Devices within your immediate area. They can also be used to detect any Wireless Internet hotspots.

Everyone around the globe is becoming more and more aware of the ever increasing problems surrounding personal and professional privacy. Bug Sweeps and other counter surveillance products have become an important part of life in today’s society. Wiretaps and eavesdropping equipment are becoming easier to find and more inexpensive to purchase, which only leads to an increase of sales within these products over the past few years. More and more people are looking for counter surveillance products as a way to protect themselves due to the increase in the number of eavesdropping devices that are being sold. It is not just a matter of paranoia, but rather it can be supported by hard evidence that more and more people are trying to get into your business on a regular basis. When you have counter surveillance equipment, you will have the peace of mind and security that you need in knowing that your home or business is as secure as it is going to get.

Hidden Camera Detector

This is the most reliable form of technology on the market today. It is extremely user-friendly, so you are able to make sure that you are not being watched. It operates from optical augmentation, which is a phenomenon that allows nearby light to be reflected through the use of a focused optical system, such as a video camera. If there is a hidden camera, it will be illuminated and viewable with the camera finder. A strong reflection will be emitted from the target camera to reveal its location to the user.

The camera finder uses a ring of ultra-bright LED lights that are arranged around the viewing port. Once a user scans through the room by using the viewing port, a hidden camera will give a bright reflection of light from the LEDs. You simply look through the viewing port and press the button to activate the LEDs, in order to scan the room. In areas where hidden cameras can be suspected, you should slowly scan the room looking for bright-reflected spots. The majority of hidden cameras only use a pinhole size lens, so you need to pay close attention to the area you are scanning because the spot could be extremely small.

If you think you have detected a camera, move your vantage point a little to one side or the other. If the reflection moves along with you, this is not a camera. However, if the reflection doe not move with you, it is highly possible that you have discovered a hidden camera.

Bug-Sweeps

When you use one of the bug sweeping products, you can get results in just a matter of seconds. This will allow you to protect your privacy like never before. They are easy-to-use; you simply flip the switch and start debugging your area in no time. You can take it with you wherever you go because they are extremely portable and they fit right into your own pocket. When you use this type of bug sweep, you will be able to detect a multitude of signals, including: GPS tracking, wireless tapping, hidden cameras, telephone tapping, computer or fax transmitters, series and parallel transmitters, laser tapping and devices on your internet phone or IP phone.

Just because you are in a public space doesn’t mean that you are not entitled to privacy. It doesn’t matter where you are because you will be sure that no one is monitoring you without your consent and knowledge. You simply turn on the device and perform a quick sweep of the room for any monitoring devices. Your private moments should remain private and now they can with this eavesdropping detection device.

Covert Surveillance Equipment

Considerations when Purchasing Covert Surveillance Equipment

Covert surveillance equipment is no longer a tool of secret agent films, the FBI, and other government organizations. Throughout the digital revolution, the main driving forces have always been decrease in size accompanies by decrease in price, and today these tools are within the reach of the ordinary citizen. It is legally manufactured by many companies and anybody can buy and install it in their home, place of business, or elsewhere. Therefore, many people have begun to consider how covert surveillance equipment can help them and how they should go about purchasing it.

There are many different things for which a person can use covert surveillance equipment. The key here is that the equipment is covert, or hidden, so its use is not limited to surveillance for shoplifting in a grocery store or watching for people running red lights. For example, covert surveillance can be used to buttress a home’s defenses as it is less easily disabled than more overt surveillance, can be used in an office to ensure that workers stay on task, or can even be used to keep track of kids who stay home while the adults go to work. Anytime you can’t be around or you just want to keep track of things without someone knowing, you have found a use case for covert surveillance equipment.

The next consideration for the purchaser of covert surveillance equipment is the type and features that you want. There are many different types of cameras and setups that a potential buyer should consider, based on his or her use case. First, are you monitoring audio, video, or both? Do you want equipment that streams the image back to a base station or records it on site for review later? How covert does your surveillance have to be? Is a standard camera that is slightly hidden okay, or do you need military-grade pin cameras? How much quality do you need in your audio or video monitoring? All of these are questions that only you can answer, and ones that must be answers in order to make a well-informed covert surveillance equipment purchase.

Now that you know what you are using your covert surveillance equipment for, and what type of equipment you will be purchasing, you probably want to know how much it is going to cost. Though cheaper by far than it used to be, as a rule surveillance equipment is expensive, and covert surveillance equipment costs even more. Cameras typically range from one hundred dollars on up as the quality increases, and will be even more expensive in the miniaturized, covert form that this article discusses. In addition, if the feed is going to be captured rather than simply viewed at a remote location, you will need to also purchase servers and hard drives to store the data, which can run well over one thousand dollars for only a few cameras. The larger the area to be surveyed and the more cameras that a server needs to administer, the greater the cost will be. The cost will also increase with features discussed above, encrypted communication between the cameras and servers, the bandwidth that the camera must use, and more.

Installing a covert surveillance system is not a decision that should be taken lightly, as there are many considerations in both the equipment and the cost-benefit trade-offs to be made. Of these, this article discusses the most important, but by no means does it discuss all of them. It is highly recommended that if you are going to make this type of purchase, you consult first with an expert in the area who can help you narrow down exactly what features you will need for your unique situation, in addition to helping find the most cost-effective solution.

Non Lethal Self Defense Weapons

There are literally millions of people each year who become the victims of crime within the US. A lot of those crimes are violent crimes, such as robbery, rape, and assault. You need to take a stand and empower yourself, so that way you can decrease the chance of becoming a victim of one of these crimes. There are plenty of non-lethal self defense weapons that are available to you, without having to have a license. You will be able to stop an attacker in their tracks permanently without having to worry about injuring or killing them. The perpetrator will be left in the hands of the local law enforcement agency and you will be safe and sound.

You should be properly trained in how to use these self-defense weapons, so that way you can understand what type of weapon is going to protect you against what type of attack.

Pepper Spray

Pepper spray is a chemical-based weapon of self defense, which is typically available in an aerosol can that is filled with a compound that is designed to be sprayed into your attackers eyes. This particular chemical compound will cause intense pain within your attacker, thus disorientating them and leaving them incapable of completing any intended assault. There are some types of pepper spray that can cause temporary blindness and an intense cough, which only helps to further decrease the attacker’s effectiveness.

Pepper spray is extremely small in size and relatively easy to use, so they are considered to be one of the most effective self defense weapons. The only downfall is that the chemical effects may take up to 30 seconds to become fully effective and can often be lessened on any individual who is under the influence of any controlled substances, so it can be an impractical choice in certain situations.

Stun Gun

Stun guns are handheld devices that are generally pressed into the attacker’s body and are used to send an electrical current throughout the attacker’s body. The stun gun will typically operate within a 7 to 14 watt range. The electrical current will cause interference within the nervous system of the attacker, which in turn causes temporary paralysis and makes the muscles stressed to the point that they are too weak to move upon recovering from the charge. There is a high enough voltage within the stun gun to be able to go right through an attacker’s clothing, all while making sure that there is not enough amperage to give them permanent damage.

Stun guns are considered highly effective when they are used correctly. They will instantly incapacitate your attacker, regardless of the point of attack. On the other hand, they are best used when you have the element of surprise and are in close distance to your attacker.

Air Taser

You can incapacitate an attacker when you use the technology in an air taser through electro-muscular disruption (EMD). EMD technology uses an 18 to 25 watt range of operation, so you can rest assured that you are getting a far more superior self defense weapon when compared to the stun gun. It comes in a handgun shape and is meant to be fired directly into the chest of your attacker. It ends up sending a pair of probes into your attacker’s body while sending a high powered electrical current through your attacker’s body via the attached wires. It will cause instant incapacitation, so your attacker will lose control of their muscular system and go into convulsions that they are not going to be able to control. An air taser will also give you the ability to be able to use the device the same as you would a stun gun, which keeps the weapon effective in case there is a missed shot.

As a self defense weapon, air tasers are extremely effective. They can offer instant effectiveness, even if your attacker is a little bit away. You should complete the proper training before you begin using this device, so that way you can increase your skill and feel more comfortable when using this device.
